Art, Science and Technology Collaboration

Collaborations between artists, scientists and technologists bring different ways of working together. Scientific methods of observation and experimentation can provide structure and precision, while artistic intuition and imagination can open other ways of seeing and interpreting. In Science-Tech-Art projects, these approaches can influence one another and lead to results that might not emerge from any one discipline alone.

 

Residency at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute MedNet, Vienna

 

In November 2024, following the opening of the institute's new facilities at West in Vienna, I began working as an artist in residence at LBI-NetMed alongside Dr. Chris Hütter, AI engineers, scientists and animation engineers. The residency was headed by Professor Dr. Jörg Menche.

During the residency I worked closely with scientists and engineers, including Christiane Hütter, developing experiments in which a robot printer became part of the painting process.
